ACP Foundation held its very successful ACP MetroCon 2017 on Saturday, November 18th, at the Heritage Ranch and Country Club in McKinney, TX. This event is a bridge for attendees and the experts in the Science and Technology (科), Education (教), Innovation and Entrepreneurship (创), and Service and Investment (投) fields. The event included keynote speakers, forums, exhibits, and networking.

The convention featured empower speakers by the National Council of Chinese Americans Chairman Haipei Shue encouraging more civic involvement, AT&T Vice-President David Lu, 5miles Founder and CEO Lucas Lu, and Texas Instrument Vice-President Dr. Jinrong Qian describing what will a high tech world look like in 20 years from now, entitled Beyond "Back to the Future."

These were followed by six exciting and challenging breakout sessions, where panels discussed emerging technology and artificial Intelligence, health and science (references the heart and cancer), immigration, leadership and career development, innovation and entrepreneurship, and investment and services.

The evening banquet included remarks by Convention Chair, David Han, and ACP President, Dr. Yu Meng, followed by keynote AT&T VP, Dr. David Lu, asking the audience to unleash their imagination for innovation opportunities in the next century. The event also recognized and awarded individuals for their outstanding contributions.

Since its inception in 1993, ACP Foundation (formerly known as the Association of Chinese Professionals, Dallas / Fort Worth) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization registered in the state of Texas. With 1,200 members from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, HK, Macau and the U.S., ACP has built its membership across a broad spectrum of professional fields, many with advanced degrees, excelling in science and technology, business and finance, medicine, education and culture, and professional services. ACP followed its mission to serve the community and bridge the US-China cultural exchange.
